Material information appears on the individual product page. Distinguish the visible plate and controls from the electrical mechanism and other parts of the assembly. A brass finish name alone does not describe the material of every component.

That depends on the finish and any protective coating. Do not assume that every brass-colored product is unlacquered or that every aged finish will continue to darken. Follow the finish-specific care information for your selected product, especially if a developing patina is part of your design brief.

Yes. A repeated accent can make mixed finishes feel intentional. For example, a dark switch plate might relate to a window frame while brass door hardware relates to the lighting. Compare the pieces together; the same finish name across different suppliers does not guarantee an exact visual match.

Gang count refers to the device positions in an electrical box or assembly. A two-gang plate may hold two switches or a different combination of devices. Confirm both the number of positions and the opening needed for each one; a double plate is not automatically suitable for every pair of devices.

Check the opening shape, mounting arrangement, dimensions and the device manufacturer's requirements. A toggle opening, a duplex opening and a rectangular decorator opening serve different devices. The number of openings alone is not enough to establish compatibility.

Explore the combination switches collection for available arrangements. Select the required functions and confirm the complete configuration before ordering. Parts from separate ranges or brands should not be assumed to share a plate or mounting system.

Single-pole switching controls a circuit from one location. Three-way switching allows control from two locations using an appropriate arrangement. Choose the model and configuration required by your installation; the appearance of a toggle or rotary control does not identify its switching capability.

LED compatibility depends on the exact lamp or driver and dimmer combination. The current Dimmer Switch listing describes TRIAC leading-edge operation. Your electrician should confirm that the lighting supports that method and falls within the selected control's permitted load. A label saying only “dimmable” does not guarantee compatibility.

Do not assume that a line-voltage rotary dimmer can replace the control specified for these systems. Use the control method required by the lighting manufacturer. Aure's current dimmer listing distinguishes its leading-edge operation from those other systems.

Use the wiring diagram for the exact dimmer model and configuration. Have your electrician confirm the conductors available at the box before ordering. Do not infer a neutral requirement from the product's appearance or from a different dimmer's instructions.

Have your electrician check the selected assembly's dimensions, mounting, required box depth and wiring space. A US project can contain different boxes and wiring arrangements. Confirming the complete assembly before ordering helps identify any installation work that may be needed.

Switch and dimmer replacement involves electrical work. Use a qualified electrician and follow applicable local requirements and the manufacturer's instructions. A change in appearance may also involve a different device, wiring arrangement or box requirement.

Record each wall position, the function needed, the number of device positions, the finish and the quantity. Compare that list with the selected product options and what the assembly includes. For a larger project, have your electrician review the schedule before ordering.
